Hawthorn Village Refurbishment Project

A major refurbishment is underway at Hawthorn Village in Bright, creating more comfortable, functional and welcoming living spaces for residents.
More than $800,000 is being invested in the project, including a $214,000 grant from the Australian Government’s Aged Care Capital Assistance Program and additional funding from Alpine Health.
The staged improvements include refurbished resident rooms, a modernised dining room, new furniture and furnishings, upgraded bathrooms with heat lamps, and improvements to flooring and hallways.
Works are being completed in stages to minimise disruption, with the final stage expected to be completed by November 2026. The refurbishment supports Alpine Health’s commitment to providing high-quality residential aged care close to home.
