Diabetes Education
We empower people from all walks of life to take control of their diabetes and to live a healthy life.
What we do
Our qualified diabetes educator provides education and support for those living with diabetes in the Alpine Shire. We provide consultations on an individual basis or in group setting. We endeavour to provide the person with the resources and knowledge to be able to actively engage in their diabetes self-care management.
We are available for inpatient and aged care consultations and staff education and support.
Who we help
We provide a free service and do not require a referral. This includes;
- newly diagnosed,
- pre diabetes
- Type 1 Diabetes (T1DM)
- Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM)
- Gestational Diabetes (GDM)
We offer initial education, ongoing support and education.
How to access
Call to make an appointment at one of the locations below. You do not need a referral from your GP but we do suggest you speak to your GP first.
