For Visitors

As Alpine Health is a Multi-Purpose Service and have residential aged care services co-located within and close to our facilities, our COVID-19 entry requirements are guided by the regulations for visiting both Residential Aged Care and Hospital facilities.

Entry Requirements

  • Visiting hours are unrestricted across our services.
  • All visitors must check into the facility upon arrival using the sign in options provided.
  • Anyone who has COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 or is a close contact of someone with COVID 19 should not visit Alpine Health facilities.
  • For consumers attending Urgent Care with COVID symptoms and it is not practicable for the person and carers to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test prior to entering the care facility, you will be asked to wear a mask and may be asked to perform a RAT at a later time.
  • All visitors must follow the mask and testing guide below. Signage at the door will advise what zone we are in.

Safe visitation to Alpine Health Facilities

Visitors should : 

  • wash their hands after using lifts, holding railings and every time they enter and exit the patients / residents room  
  • limit movement around the facility as much as possible   
  • limit the number of personal items they bring into the facility  
  • follow rules about wearing specific masks, gloves or gowns if requested by staff. 
  • do not visit if they are unwell.
  • visits should be held in a patient / resident’s room, outdoors or in a specific area rather than communal areas with other patients /residents.
  • indoor visits should occur in well ventilated areas. Open windows and doors to provide natural ventilation, provided outdoor temperature is suitable.
  • be aware that if there is an outbreak at an Alpine Health facility, additional temporary restrictions will apply under guidance of the Local Public Health Unit (LPHU) as needed.
