2023 Mark Robinson Scholarship for Rural Health
The Mark Robinson Scholarship for Rural Health encourages local people to take up studies in health related disciplines at either undergraduate or postgraduate levels and return to practice in the Alpine Shire.
Grace Willey from Mt Beauty is the recipient of the 2023 Mark Robinson Scholarship for Rural Health. Grace has completed the first year of her Bachelor of Nursing with Deakin University in 2023 and hopes to complete her studies by 2026. Grace is looking to work casually with Alpine Health during her school holidays whilst she completes her studies in Melbourne to become a Registered Nurse.
Grace said “I would like to start by thanking the Alpine Health Board of Directors and Alpine Health for my selection as the recipient of the Mark Robinson Scholarship for Rural Health.
It is very important to me, as I pursue my nursing career, that I become involved in healthcare within Regional Victoria as I have lived here my whole life and I hope to return here once my course is completed. I am hoping to begin that journey during my breaks while I am completing my degree at Deakin University. This scholarship will allow me to focus on increasing my grades and alleviate the financial burden of university,” she said.
