The 16th Victorian Public Healthcare Awards Gala Night was held last night at Marvel Stadium, Docklands. The Victorian Public Healthcare Awards recognise leadership and excellence in the provision of publicly funded healthcare in response to established and emerging community needs.
Nick Shaw Alpine Health CEO said ”the Healthcare awards are held in high regard and we are particularly pleased to have the work of Alpine Health recognised. “
“The nomination is testament to the hard work and efforts of all our staff, board and volunteers and recognises the achievements we have made in 2021-2022. Their focus and commitment to local service delivery, placing services as close as possible to where people live, work and play, is vital to the work we do in delivering improved health and well-being for our Alpine communities “ he said.
“Through their sustained efforts our services have continued to grow including our COVID-19 response, home based aged care and mental health services, procedural services, and education and training opportunities whilst sustaining the quality of our current programs and services. Improvements to service delivery through person centered care and safety and quality led systems were also achieved with a focus on consumer feedback, shared care models, urgent care, and health promotion. Gender Equality and Reconciliation projects have also been completed” he said.
Nick said “We continue to invest in the future needs of the community by focusing on priority infrastructure and capital projects including the Bright Health Precinct which at its core focuses on a new aging in place residential aged care facility for the people of Bright and its local communities.”
Donovan Jacka, Alpine Health Board Chair said “Our teams have shown great dedication and resilience, continuing to do their jobs well and deliver high-quality care and support despite the challenges of the past 2 years, and we are immensely proud of what we have been able to achieve.”
