Alpine Health is proud to announce a $3,183 contribution from the Mount Beauty Hospital Op Shop to its PACE (Pulmonary and Cardiac Exercise Education) program, a flexible cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program that aims to improve the quality of life for people with heart or lung conditions. Thanks to the generous donations from the Mount Beauty Hospital Op Shop, the PACE program has acquired new equipment, including hand weights, pedal machines, heart rate monitors, and a portable ECG machine.

This donation underscores the Op Shop’s commitment to supporting Alpine Health’s initiatives and enhancing the well-being of local residents. The newly purchased equipment is expected to play a crucial role in helping participants achieve their goals, improve their heart and lung health, and receive tailored exercise guidance.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Mount Beauty Hospital Op Shop,” said Paige Tuohey, Alpine Health Healthy Communities Manager and director of the PACE program. “Their generous donation will not only enhance the quality of our program but also enable us to provide an even better experience for our clients. This contribution is a testament to the strong sense of community and collaboration that makes our region so special.”

The Mount Beauty Hospital Op Shop, operated by a dedicated group of volunteers, has long been a pillar of support for local health and wellness initiatives. The funds raised through the Mount Beauty Hospital Op Shop’s sales have enabled numerous Alpine Health projects and enhancements over the years.
