Alpine Health Mount Beauty Hospital Urgent Care was the lucky recipient of two iPad thanks to a generous donation from the Lauren Sauervein Memorial Trust.  The Mount Beauty Hospital Urgent Care will use the iPads with child proof covers to help children cope and stay entertained during the urgent care process.

These iPads offer younger children an outlet for entertainment and can help take the stress off from being in a healthcare environment. Children can access the internet and access kid-friendly movies and programs to distract them whilst waiting for care or whilst family members are being looked after.

“Research shows that the quality of stay for patients and their potential medical recovery can be greatly influenced by whether they have a distraction device like this. We would like to thank Mark Zagorski, Mount Beauty Medical Centre and the Lauren Sauervein Memorial Trust for enabling this project to happen.”  said Nick Shaw, CEO Alpine Health.
