Rhys joined Alpine Health in the role of Health Services Manager in Bright on 9 January 2023 after a career as the Director of Nursing Population and Primary Health Care for Northern Territory Health and holds a strong history in nursing and para medicine. Rhys was promoted to the role of Executive Director of Clinical Services in 2023 before being appointed as the interim CEO commencing 2 September 2024.
Rhys held a variety of positions in the Territory including Director of Nursing Darwin Urban Primary Health Care, and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Rhys is a current Board member of the Cancer Council Northern Territory and holds a set of skills and experience in emergency management.

Prior to starting with Alpine Health in July 2023, Kristy was the Executive Officer of Recycle Victoria, and prior to that, with local government as the Director of Community Services with Federation Council.
Kristy holds strong credentials relating to each of the associated functions of corporate and business services. Kristy provides provide strategic leadership, oversight and performance leadership to Alpine Health’s corporate and business services comprising: financial services, people and culture, information technology, health information, business development, essential services and risk management.
Kelly Barton | Bachelor of Nursing, Masters in Infection Control
Kelly Barton is an RN with over 20 years’ experience. Kelly’s career started in Emergency where she became a Clinical Nurse specialist at Mildura Base Hospital. Kelly has been at Alpine health for almost 17 years, starting in acute and aged care, and having worked in district nursing, education, project management and infection control. Kelly helped lead the organisation through the pandemic as the COVID-19 coordinator, and well known throughout the organisation. Kelly recently completed her Masters in Infection Control at Griffith University in 2022. She is passionate about One Health, Aged Care and AMS. She recently went to Cambodia with the charity Supporting Silk Sisters to help a rural referral hospital with their first ever accreditation preparations.
Peter Burgess | Diploma in Youth Work, Diploma in Community Services.
Peter joined Alpine Health in the role of Healthy Aging Manager in our Myrtleford office in May 2023 after a career in both Community Services and Employment services over the last 10 years. Peter has been acting Director of Healthy Communities since January 2024.
